Does Anyone Know What July Is?

getty-callendarA little something fun today!

Did you know that July is the month we in the USA honor blueberries, ice cream, hot dogs, horseradish and bikinis?

It’s also the month to educate yourself on bioterrorism and disaster, get screened for hemochromatosis (iron overload – who knew?), make a difference to children, repair your dog house, beautify your wheelchair and do some grilling.

And while you’re at it, you can appreciate the culinary arts, smart irrigation, the sandwich generation, your home inspector, air conditioning and Deborah Harry and her group, Blondie.

The first week in July is also National Unassisted Home Birth Week (yikes!) and today happens to be Canada Day, Second Half of the Year Day and Zip Code Day (huh?).

So now that your calendar is organized, Happy Celebrating!
